We continue with our IP Training Program 2026.

On October 07, we conducted a training session for the Trujillo IP Police.

During the session, we shared key insights on intellectual property protection and enforcement, complemented by a brand fair focused on identifying genuine and counterfeit products, helping strengthen participants' capabilities.

The article explores the growth in patent applications —with particularly interesting momentum coming from universities—, recent developments in the protection of innovation and new technologies, and the mechanisms available to protect and enforce patent rights in Peru.

During this week in Toronto, María Inés Herrera, took part in two major international Intellectual Property events: the 2026 IPO Annual Meeting and the 2026 AIPF Annual Meeting.

Both events brought together IP professionals from around the world to share experiences, exchange perspectives, and discuss the key trends and challenges shaping the field of Intellectual Property.

It was a valuable opportunity to connect with colleagues from across the global IP community and further strengthen our international perspective.

We are sharing an article about the recent appointment of Peru’s new Director of Personal Data Protection and its significance for the personal data protection system.

The article discusses the profile of the new director and the main challenges the office will face in the current regulatory context, marked by the gradual implementation of new obligations for companies regarding personal data protection, as well as challenges related to the issuance of interpretive guidelines, the protection of rights, information security, and international data transfers.
